At Sophie's Lamps, we want you to love your lighting. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help. Please read our return policy carefully to ensure a smooth return process.

1. Return Window

  • Customers can return their item(s) within 30 days of receiving their order.
  • After 30 days, returns will not be accepted unless the item is defective or covered by our warranty.

2. Condition of Returned Items

  • Items must be unused, undamaged, and in their original packaging with all tags, manuals, and accessories included.
  • Opened or slightly used items may be subject to a partial refund or rejection, depending on their condition.
  • Items that have been installed, modified, or damaged by the customer are not eligible for return.

3. Eligible Reasons for Return

We accept returns in the following cases:
✅ The item arrived damaged or defective.
✅ The wrong product was received.
✅ The customer changed their mind (only if the item is unused and in its original condition).

We do not accept returns for:
❌ Custom-made or personalized items.
❌ Clearance or final-sale items.
❌ Items that have been used, installed, or altered.

4. Return Shipping Costs

  • If the return is due to damage, defect, or an error on our part, we will cover the return shipping costs and provide a prepaid return label.
  • If the return is due to a change of mind or incorrect purchase, the customer is responsible for the return shipping cost.

5. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  • Order number
  • Reason for the return
  • Clear photos if the item is damaged or defective

2️⃣ Our team will review your request and provide return instructions, including a return shipping label (if applicable).

3️⃣ Pack the item securely and ship it to the return address provided.

4️⃣ Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process the refund or exchange within 5-7 business days

6. Refund & Exchange Options

  • Refund: Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.) within 5-10 business days after the return is processed.
  • Exchange: If you prefer, we can send a replacement product instead of a refund.
  • Store Credit: Customers may choose store credit instead of a refund for future purchases.

Note: Shipping fees (if any) are non-refundable, except in cases where we shipped the wrong item or a defective product.

7. Exceptions & Non-Returnable Items

  • Final-sale and customized products are not eligible for returns.
  • Gift cards cannot be returned or refunded.
  • Items that have been modified, installed, or show signs of use will not be accepted.

8. Warranty & Defective Products

If your product has a manufacturing defect or stops working within the warranty period, please contact us for a replacement or repair. Our team will evaluate the issue and determine the best solution.
